Apple 3D Desktop Patent

This is interesting - I think mainly b/c it looks like the windows approach, but in 3d. A very strange combination. Looks like some of the value of 3D in that you can spatialize, but still maintaining traditional problems of the desktop metaphor - such as poor visual cues to large amounts of data... Here, we still see clear heirarchy.
